Finally Something Created! Easter 2010 Cart & Cricut

Wow it has been ages since I have blogged. I've been doing some projects here an there but more YuDu projects. (hopefully get some pics up soon)

My life has been in a whirlwind as of late. Haven't really had the time or energy to craft much. New opportunities have been popping up all over the place, which is amazing and I feel so blessed. Still trying to catch up though.

So on to the card. My guy asked me to make Communion invites for one of his coworkers. And this is what I came up with. Much thanks to my friend Rosina who got my mind in create mode and pretty much came up with the design, and the use of the Easter 2010 Cart & the cuttlebug folder, :-)

For this card I used Perfect Pearls Mists for the first time. I saw Tim Holtz demo these on HSN and I really wanted them but they sold out so quick. Was able to pick up a bottle of the Pearl (clear/shimmer) at out LSS. And let me say it worked awesome. I own some of the Tattered Angels, but not a huge fan and they never seem to look great. The Pearls Mists worked great, can't wait to get some more colors.

For the card I used standard A2 size, cut cross with shadow at 3 3/4 inches. I printed the inside of the computer, because for some reason, out of the many stamps I own none had anything for an invite. Will need to get one soon. Made a total of 20 invites. Hope she enjoys, I think they came out really simple but pretty.

Perfect project I needed to get done to post on Easter Sunday.

Hope everyone enjoyed thier holiday. Till next time.

  2. That is an awesome invite! I will have to look up that cart. And I've never use pearl mists. I can see a trip to my local craft store is in my very near future. Thanks for sharing!

  3. See, you mention Yudu in your second sentence. YOU are master of the Yudu. :)

Beautiful invitation. I love that cut with the embossing behind it.
