Photo Holder (Recipe Box) CTMH & Cricut

Got another fun project completed today. I completed a photo holder using a recipe box. Made this for a friend's birthday. Will give it to her tomorrow, hope she doesn't see this post, lol.

Products and tools used for this project are:
My Creations™ Recipe/Photo Box from CTMH
Zippidee Level 2 Paper Packet from CTMH
CTMH stamps sets: Believe Caps (D1083), Ticket to Ride (B1346) & Thrill Ride (D1425)
CTMH Ink pads: Cranberry, Desert Sand, Honey, & Indian Corn Blue
Chipboard
Cricut and Gypsy with the cart From My Kitchen

Here's how it looks open:

The recipe box comes already made, which makes a project like this so easy. It stays closed nicely because it has a magnet closure, which is a really nice feature. The box comes white so I inked all the edges in blue. And adhered the paper to the box using the outside measurements of the box as a template. I didn't care about being too exact because the inking of the edges makes it easier to give you some room for error. Once I got all the paper adhered I embellished it with various stamps.

To make the inside tabs (recipe cards) I altered a recipe card template from the From My Kitchen Cart using the Gypsy. I made the cards 4 inches tall and 6 inches wide. I cut these initially with chipboard, and then with matching cardstock colors from the pack. I adhered these together. I wanted these tabs to be sturdy, so that's why I backed it with chipboard. I inked around the edges of the cards and embellished them with stamps.

Here's the inside cards by themselves:

And here's how the box looks from the side:

This was a relatively quick and easy project to put together. I really like how it came out and hope my friend enjoys. I think it went fast because I was using coordinating products, so the colors and patterns matched up nicely.

Thanks for looking, and please comment and follow if you like!

p.s. Almost to 75 followers (YAY!), so I feel a little blog candy might end up posted soon!
