So I ordered these clear card from Close to My Heart awhile ago, and I had no idea what to do with them. I read that someone suggested to use the Cuttlebug embossing folders. I would never had though they would have worked with the clear cards, but they did! And I think they look really great.
Here are the supplies I used:
Close to My Heart Clear cards (4 1/2")
Cuttlebug Embossing folders: Happy Birthday, Thanks, D'vine Swirl, & Stars
Ribbons
Close to My Heart Stamp Sets; Cherished Flourishes (D1413), Star Power (D1403), Thank You (D1361)
Close to My Heart Ink Pads: Desert Sand & Amethyst
Hampton Art Fall cards
Papers: You Rock (CTMH) & Jung-a-low Bung-a-low Baby (Paper Studios)
Staz-On Brown Ink
Cricut with Wild Card Cart
Here are close ups of the cards and how they open:
Birthday Card
To get the inside of the card, I cut a 4 inch scalloped circle card from Wild Cart and attached it to the inside of the clear card. Changed the orientation of the paper card so it would open the opposite way from the way the clear card opens.
Star Card:
Did the same with the card as above, only thing different is I swiped some Staz-On ink in the stars to make them stand out a little more.
Flourish Thank You Cards
For this card I used a smaller card inside to be able to write and stamp on. The way I attached it was to punch holes through the inner card and the clear card, and then tied a ribbon through it to keep them together. (Thanks Ro for the idea!)
Thank You Card:
Did the same as the card above to put it together. I like how these ones turned out because it looks like the inner card is floating in air.
I hope that if you have some of these clear cards and didn't know what to do with them you got a little inspiration. And if you don't have them, I hope you want them now, lol.
Thanks for stopping by!
