Cycle for Survival...Charity Event for Rare Cancer Research!

As some of you may know I work for a large cancer center in New York City. My coworkers and I have put together a team of cyclers to raise money for rare cancer research. This is a great event and we helped raise almost $5,000 last year. We really want to surpass that amount and are very close. The event takes place on Feb. 13th on 5th Ave. in Manhattan.

Here's a little bit more about the event (taken from the website)

Founded in 2007 by patient Jennifer Goodman Linn, Cycle for Survival is the indoor team cycling fundraiser that has raised more than $4.5 million in support of research on rare cancers at Memorial Sloan-Kettering.

Each year, thousands of cyclists team up with friends, family, and coworkers in the ride against cancer in New York City, Chicago, and at satellite events around the world! We hope you'll join us at a future event! You'll have fun, you'll be inspired, and above all, you'll support vital research, bringing hope to people battling this deadly disease.

This has been a great event to be apart of and so glad I could do it again this year. I know cancer has touched almost everyone's life. We all know someone that has survived cancer, and sadly we may know someone who has not. It is through fundraising and donations that research can be done. This research will one day beat the cancer and offer a cure for all.

If you are able please stop my donation page and donate any amount (no amount is too small). I would greatly appreciate it. And if you could share this link with coworkers, friends, family, or maybe even post it on your blog that would be amazing!

Thanks for any donation or word of mouth. I have some new projects in the works and will be sharing soon. All this terrible weather has been good for one thing, crafting.

Till next time
