Thank You Cards (Cindy Loo & CTMH)

Got a bunch of Thank You cards made to today. In total I got eight cards done, and it went super quick. I used one of the newer carts for the Cricut called Cindy Loo. I was on the fence about buying this cart when I first saw the previews. But I must say it has a ton of great features. The cart includes a full font with a bunch of whimsical shapes. A lot of different flourishes, swirls, and accents, plus some really cute animals. My favorite feature if the frames option. It takes the main image on each page of the booklet and turns it into a frame. This was the main reason why I went ahead and purchased the cart. And the frames option is what I used to make the set of cards.

I cut eight various frames from the cart. Four different animals and four of the flourishes. All the cuts were cut at 4 inches. I was making standard A2 sized cards (4 1/4 inches by 5 1/2 inches). Cutting the frames at 4 inches was the biggest it could be cut to fit on the card. Each frame cut has a shift option to add a layer on the cut, and these were also cut at 4 inches without the real dial size option on. Remember, if you use the real dial size option, the image you choose will cut at the specific height, regardless of how it is to fit on the base. I rarely use the real dial size option because I like the way the layered cuts look. But I am sure there have been times when I have used it.

For the cards I used an American Crafts patterned paper set called Craft Fair. I got it at Michaels awhile back on clearance for a good price. I like the colors and thought they would work well for cards. Also used a Close To My Heart sentiment stamp set called A Little Everything (D1408). Inked the cards with CTMH chocolate ink.

Here is a close up of the cards:

They came out really great, and the best thing is they were super quick. I made all eight cards in about 30 minutes. The longest part was picking the papers and colors, which always seems to take the most time for me.
